CLASSES FOR YOUR PUP AND YOU
PUPPY CLASSES & MORE
You’ve got a new puppy or a challenging pup – well we’ve got the answers! Shantel’s Wagging Tails believes training should be force free and always positive reinforcement based. Our main goal is to aid you on your path to creating the pup you’ve always wanted, a well-mannered, polite, trusted and all around happy dog. Shantel’s Wagging Tails is results driven and strives to have a positive impact on you and your pups lives through proper education. Our group classes are designed to deliver the best possible results in the shortest amount of time to fit with your busy life style. Shantel’s Wagging Tails takes pride in providing you with group classes that feature:
- Small Class Sizes of 8 students or less
- Private make up lesson available free of charge
- Complete puppy education program totalling 12 weeks
- Consistently running classes, with classes beginning every month
Training is about so much more than just having a dog that listens, it is about working together to develop a solid relationship with your pup based on trust, patience and respect. We at Shantel’s Wagging Tails look forward to helping you on your way!
Puppy Kindergarten
Puppy Kindergarten at Shantel’s Wagging Tails is the perfect start for your young pup’s journey into the world of training and socialization. This fun and interactive class focuses on building essential skills such as proper socialization with other dogs and humans, basic obedience commands like sit, stay, and come, and addressing common puppy behaviors such as mouthing and potty training. Led by our experienced trainers, Puppy Kindergarten provides a nurturing environment where puppies can learn, play, and grow into well-adjusted adult dogs.
Shantel’s Wagging Tails first priority is always the safety of you and your puppy therefore we have the following requirements to take part in puppy kindergarten: We require at least one adult per enrolled puppy, the whole family is welcome to attend but if children are six years or younger, a second adult must be present. The ideal age for puppies to begin class is 8 – 20 weeks. The following vaccinations are required: Rabies and DPPH(first set) as well as Bordetella.
Total cost is $150.00 for 6 sessions of approximately 45 minutes each. The first session will be an orientation class for owners only to review expectations and handouts as well as begin with some preliminary homework before beginning the hands on training classes. As this is a positive reinforcement based training we encourage owners to bring food treats with them to each classes.
Puppy University
As your puppy continues to grow and learn, Puppy University at Shantel’s Wagging Tails offers the next level of education and enrichment. In this dynamic class, puppies build upon the foundations laid in Puppy Kindergarten, delving deeper into obedience training, leash manners, and more advanced commands. Through engaging activities and positive reinforcement techniques, puppies further develop their social skills, confidence, and ability to focus in distracting environments, setting them up for success as they transition into adolescence.
The following vaccinations are required : Rabies, DPPH and Bordetella.
Total cost is $150.00 for 6 sessions of approximately 45 minutes each. Essential Manners
Essential Manners is a must-attend class for adolescent dogs who are ready to refine their obedience skills and develop good manners. Led by our skilled trainers, this class focuses on teaching dogs important life skills such as polite greetings, loose leash walking, impulse control, and responding to basic commands. Through positive reinforcement training methods and structured exercises, dogs learn to become well-mannered companions both at home and in public settings.
The following vaccinations are required : Rabies, DPPH and Bordetella.
Total cost is $150.00 for 6 sessions of approximately 60 minutes each. The first session will be an orientation class for owners only to review expectations and handouts as well as begin with some preliminary homework before beginning the hands on training classes. As this is a positive reinforcement based training we encourage owners to bring food treats with them to each classes.
More Manners:
More Manners, where dogs embark on a journey to refine their obedience skills and strengthen their bond with their owners. Building upon the foundations established in Essential Manners, this class introduces more advanced commands and training techniques designed to improve focus, reliability, and responsiveness. With a focus on real-life scenarios and practical applications.
The following vaccinations are required for Basic Obedience: Rabies, DPPH, Bordetella.
Total cost is 150.00 for 6 sessions of hands on training of approximately 60 minutes each. As with all of our classes owners are encouraged to bring food treats as our training method is positive reinforcement based.
